Up until now I’ve managed to avoid the concrete and more basic information in regard search engine optimization (seo) on this blog. This means that most posts on newmediatype, such as the optimal keyword attack formula or common sense and seo are based on a more strategic approach rather than, let’s say, an ‘operational’ one.

True, this book covers seo which is applicable by everybody, which is where it will probably derive it’s popularity from.
I think what you mean with the ‘more work’ factor is what you’ll find in the ‘optimal keyword formula’ post. For everybody interested, this is where keyword research comes into play as part of your SEO strategy.
Reading this will be a good follow up for anybody interested in optimizing their blog further.
